5/27

Good Morning!  We just can't catch a break when it comes to weather.  The past couple of days have been challenging with the Northerly winds and making it choppy offshore.

Along the beach in the surf yesterday was some fantastic fishing for starters! Up on the east facing side of the island has been seeing some really good Sea Mullet fishing, with a lot of citation sized ones.  It sounds like it's not hard to catch a mess of them for a few dinners!  I also heard of some good Pompano fishing yesterday.  We weighed one yesterday evening just shy of 4 pounds! Once we get past this weather over the next couple days, I'm gonna have to go refresh my Pompano skills.

The weather has been tough on the Cobia fishing.  It seems that the days it been calm enough for them to get in the ocean the sun doesn't want to come out.  They have been able to anchor up and chum and catch some fish.  We weighed a 58 pounder and 30 pounder yesterday.  There's been plenty of nice Bluefish around and some nice Speckled Trout in the sound.

Offshore the guys are catching Dolphins, there still a good sign of Yellowfin Tunas around as well as Blackfins.

No one made it offshore today with the weather forecasted to blow Southeast with gust to 30.  The inshore guys are getting ready as I type.

Have a great day
