5/31

It's been another tough week of weather for everyone on the island.  Plenty of wind and rain which kept the guys from going the past few days until yesterday.  They still had to deal with buckets and buckets of rain most of the day, but were able to scrap out a catch.  There were some Dolphins, Wahoos, and Tunas caught yesterday.  There has been some good bottom fishing too!

Inshore the guys have been able to go, but for the most part have been locked in the sound.  There's been some good Speckled Trout fishing, I heard of another one over 7 pounds yesterday bait fishing!  Some nice Blues around. I caught some last night I would guess the smallest was 3 pounds and the largest maybe 7 or so.  There have still been some drum of mixed sizes around the inlet. From some slot fish to citation sized fish.  The guys that anchored up and chummed for Cobia did have action and managed to get rewarded sitting out in the torrential downpours at times.

Along the beach the Sea Mullet fishing continues to dominate with a lot of really nice fish being caught.  There have been some nice Pompano around too.
